MANSAROWAR HOSTEL
INTRODUCTION
Mansarowar Hostel is a Men's Hall of residence for full -time post-graduate and research students of the University of Delhi. The hostel is centrally located in the North Campus opposite of Khalsa College and adjoining International Students' Hostel for Boys. It is half a kilometre from the Vishwavidyalya Metro Station and the Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences.
The Provost is the administrative head of the Hostel. For the administrative purposes, he is assisted by the Warden, who is in-charge of the day today affairs of the hostel and the Resident
Tutor, who looks after the extra-curricular activities and general welfare of the residents. The
Provost, Warden and the Resident Tutor are appointed by the Vice-Chancellor on behalf of the
Executive Council of the University.
The Hostel Managing Committee is constituted by the University which supervises the administration of the Hostel. The policies of the hostel are decided by the Managing Committee under the overall guidelines and policies of the University of Delhi. The decision of the Managing Committee of the hostel regarding duration of stay, allotment of seats to different disciplines/subjects/categories, residents and guest status, fees and other rules for residents is final and binding.
The admissions are made as per the rules approved by the Managing Committee of Mansarowar Hostel. The admission form duly filled in and certified by the Head of the concerned department along with the required documents, should reach the hostel office on or before the date for the receipt of application as mentioned in the hostel bulletin or displayed on the hostel notice board.
